1 What display setting should I use for this website?
Our website is optimised for viewing at a screen resolution of 1152 x 864 pixels.
2 How do I check my browser version?

3 What are the system and browser requirements for the website?
We recommend the following requirements or a similarly configured machine to experience the full functionality of the website.

Windows users:

4 How do I activate Java and JavaScript?
For Internet Explorer version 6 or above:
  • Click 'Tools'.
  • Followed by 'Internet Options...'
  • Select the 'Security' Tab.
  • Click on 'Custom Level...' scroll down to 'Scripting' and ensure that 'Active scripting' and 'Allow paste operations via script' are both enabled.
  • Click on 'OK'.

For Mozilla Firefox 2 and above:

  • Open the Tools Menu and choose option.
  • Select 'Content'.
  • Click on "Enable Java" & "Enable javascript.

For Safari:

  • From Safari select Preferences.
  • Under Security tick the check box to activate: Enable plug-ins, Enable java & Enable JavaScript.
  • Close the window.
For Google Chrome:
  • Click on the 'Setting Sign'.
  • Followed by 'Options...'
  • Select 'Under the Hood' on the sidebar.
  • Click on 'Content Settings' under Privacy.
  • Under Javascript check on the radiobutton 'Allow all sites to run Javascript'.

6 How do I unblock Cookies?
For Internet Explorer version 6 or above:
  • Click 'Tools'.
  • Followed by 'Internet Options...'
  • Select the 'Privacy Tab'.
  • Verify the slider to see where it is. If it is at 'Block All Cookies'.
  • Move it down to 'High' or 'Medium High'.
  • Alternatively you can click on 'Site...' button as shown above and then add 'silkair.com' as Always Allow in Per Site Privacy Actions.
  • Another alternative is to click on the 'Advanced...' button and set the 'Override automatic cookie handling'.
  • and 'Always allow session cookies' options.

For Mozilla Firefox 2 and above:

7 How do I clear the system cache?
For Internet Explorer version 6 or above:
  • Click on 'Tools'
  • Followed by 'Internet Options...'
  • At Temporary Internet Files, click on 'Delete Cookies', click on 'OK' button
  • At Temporary Internet Files, click on 'Delete Files', tick on 'delete all offline content', click on 'OK' button
  • At History, click 'Clear History...'
  • Click on 'OK' button
  • Restart your Internet Explorer Browser and type in the URL www.silkair.com

For Mozilla FireFox 2 and above:

  • Click on 'Tools' and choose 'Options'.
  • Select the 'Advance' panel.
  • Click on 'Network' tab.
  • In the 'Offline Storage' section, click 'Clear Now'.
  • Click 'OK' to close the Options window.

For Safari:

  • Open'Safari' menu.
  • Select 'Empty Cache'.
  • Click 'Empty' when asked 'Are you sure you want to empty the cache'message box.
  • Exit and re-launch the browser.

For Google Chrome:

  • Click on the 'Setting Sign'.
  • Followed by 'Options'.
  • Select 'Under the Hood' on the sidebar.
  • Click on 'Clear Browsing Data' under Privacy.
  • Tick the box 'Empty the Cache'and click 'Clear Browsing Data' to proceed.
  • Exit and re-launch the browser.
