1 Which flights are available for online booking?
Online booking is available for flights out of some cities in the SilkAir network, namely, Singapore, Cebu, Davao, Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing, Kunming, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Balikpapan, Bandung, Lombok, Manado, Medan, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Solo, Surabaya, Da Nang, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui, Phuket, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Kuching, Langkawi, Penang, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, Kathmandu, Yangon and Darwin.
2 I am on transit in Siem Reap for many hours; can I clear immigration for city tour or Angkor Wat tour during my transit?
Passengers travelling to Siem Reap are required by the Cambodian immigration authorities to stay in the country for a minimum of one night. Transit passengers must stay at airport transit area only.
3 Which payment methods are available?
Only payment by credit card is accepted. Credit cards presently accepted are Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club. The applicable cards will be presented for your selection at the payment screen.
4 Can I purchase Internet tickets at SilkAir Ticketing Office?
We are pleased to inform you that you can purchase Internet tickets originating from Singapore at our SilkAir Ticketing Office in Singapore (service fee applies). This service, however, is not available at our other offices across the region. For queries related to the purchase of internet tickets originating from SilkAir destinations except Singapore, please contact our respective Overseas Town Offices directly.
5 Can I make a booking on behalf of another person?
Third party bookings to all SilkAir destinations, except Kathmandu, can be made. During the online booking process, you will need to indicate that the paying party is not traveling. After the booking has been made, the paying party will be required to perform credit card verification at the SilkAir Town Office or at Singapore Changi Airport on the day of departure. The credit card holder must be physically present, along with his/her photo ID, the credit card that was used to make the booking, and the signed Letter of Indemnity (LOI). For departures from SilkAir destinations other than Singapore, credit card verification can only be done at the nearest SilkAir Town Office (* For departure from Siem Reap, LOI and credit card verification will be done at the airport office). On failure to comply to above LOI procedure, passengers on this booking will need to purchase a new set of tickets or be denied boarding.

If you are performing credit card verification at the Town Office, please do so at least 3 working days before the date of departure. Please check the opening hours of the SilkAir Town Office before making your visit.

6 Can I book a multi-leg, multi-city journey.
Our Website does not support such bookings. If you like to make such bookings, please visit our nearest local SilkAir / Singapore Airlines offices or your travel agents. They will be pleased to assist you.
7 I cannot find the city I wish to travel to in the drop-down list of city options. How can I get fare information on this city?
If you would like a fare information that is not currently displayed on silkair.com, please contact your nearest local travel agent.
8 How do I view fares for multiple passengers?
To view fares for multiple passengers:
At the Homepage Flight Search Engine, select the itinerary, flight date and the total number of adult and/or child passengers.
  • Click ‘Show Availability’ to search for flights.
  • Select your preferred flight date.

The fares for each adult and each child will be displayed, together with the total fare calculated for the number of passengers you had initially selected.

9 Why are there no special Internet fares for my itinerary?
Internet fares can be found on popular itineraries and promotional routes. There may be several reasons why you are unable to obtain a special Internet fare for your itinerary:
  • No special Internet fare is offered for that itinerary
  • Seats for special Internet fares have been sold out
  • The travel date is not within the duration specified for promotional fares
10 Why weren't all the flights displayed in the Flight Availability list?
Only flights with seats available will be displayed. Flights that are fully booked will not be displayed. Flight availability changes dynamically as and when seats are purchased or cancelled by travellers.
11 Why am I offered flights that are on Business Class when I have chosen a departing flight in the 'Fully Flexi' category?
In the event that there are no more 'Fully Flexi' seats available on the chosen date of travel, the website will present customers with seat availability in Business Class. This option is useful to customers who must travel on their chosen date and at the preferred time. Alternatively, customers may choose to change their date of travel.
12 Can I select my preferred seat when booking online on the SilkAir website?
You can make a generic request during the booking process for either a window or an aisle seat. You can also change the assigned seat during online check-in.
13 Where can I find the fare conditions when making an online booking?
Complete Rules & Conditions of Fare can be found from the Payment page (Step 6 of 7) during online booking. You are require to read, understand and accept the rules and conditions associated with the fare which you are booking before the payment transaction.
14 Where can I find the fare conditions after I have made an online booking?
Sorry, you will not be able to retrieve the conditions of your fare once your booking has been completed. Please contact your local SilkAir Town Office if you would like to check the conditions of your fare.
15 What is a booking reference?
A booking reference is the 6-character alphanumeric code (e.g. JV68HA) given when a booking is made in SilkAir’s reservation system. It is used by our reservation, ticketing, and customer service staff to locate your reservation records and Electronic Tickets.
16 How can I retrieve my booking if I did not write down the booking reference?
If you have a KrisFlyer account, you can retrieve and view your online booking by visiting the Retrieve Booking page.

Log in using your KrisFlyer number along with your PIN and you will see a list of the bookings you have made via our online booking facility.

Please note that the booking can only be retrieved when you are logged in under the same KrisFlyer number that created the booking. Alternatively, you can contact any SilkAir office and provide your name, flight number, date of travel, and departure and arrival cities. They will be able to inform you on your booking reference. You can find the office contact details on the Contact Us page of this website.

Non-KrisFlyer members who wish to retrieve your booking, please contact your local SilkAir Town Office for assistance.

17 I didn't receive a booking confirmation after payment. Was my Internet booking successful?
If you do not receive the booking confirmation screen for your online purchases, for KrisFlyer member who have logged in under the KrisFlyer number to create the booking, please log in to your account from My Booking page (located at the top menu of silkair.com), and select ‘Retrieve Booking’. A list of your Internet bookings with their booking references will be displayed.

Alternatively, you can contact your nearest SilkAir offices and quote your name, flight number, and date of travel. They will be able to advise the status of your booking as well. Please find the contact details on the Contact Us page.

Non-KrisFlyer members who wish to find out the status of your Internet booking, please contact your nearest SilkAir Town Office for assistance.

18 Can I redeem my KrisFlyer miles for SilkAir flights?
Please visit www.krisflyer.com to redeem your miles. SilkAir's online booking facility currently does not offer any redemption service.
19 With the ticket that I bought through SilkAir.com, can I travel on other airlines for the sectors that I've paid for?
Tickets bought through SilkAir.com are only valid for travel on flights operated by SilkAir.
20 When would my credit card be charged after booking online?
Bookings are considered confirmed once the transaction is completed with booking reference being generated.  Payment will not be deducted immediately from the credit card due to interbank transfers and necessary administrative processes.
21 Why does my credit card statement show a different ticket price from the original ticket price I purchased from the Website?
Due to currency conversion, credit card holders who use credit cards issued by local issuers for payment of purchases made on the website, may observe differences between their monthly credit card statement and the price of purchase quoted on the website. You may contact your nearest SilkAir office for assistance should the difference in your credit card statement be more than 3 percent of the original ticket price quoted on the website.
