Which flights are available for Internet check-in?
You may check-in for a flight if you have a confirmed booking with SilkAir and have a valid ticket. Internet check-in is available for all booking and ticket types. Internet check-in is presently only available for flights departing from Singapore, Cebu, Davao, Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing, Kunming, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Balikpapan, Lombok, Manado, Medan, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Solo, Surabaya, Da Nang, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Kuching, Langkawi, Penang, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, Kathmandu and Yangon. |

What services are available through Internet check-in?
Internet check-in currently allows you to do the following:
- Check-in and Seat Change
- Revisit your check-in records for viewing, seat change and check-in cancellation. (A premium service for PPS Club and KrisFlyer members only)
- Print you own boarding pass
- Seat change and check-in cancellation can be done online provided you have not printed your boarding pass
- Perform through check-in on MI/SQ Code share flights using PNR option
- View seat map & change seats on onward SQ flights when through check-in is permitted

Which option do I use to do Internet check-in?
There are three options you can use to do internet check-in, they are:
- KrisFlyer Number
KrisFlyer members can log in with their KrisFlyer number and PIN to do Internet check-in.
- Booking reference (PNR)
KrisFlyer and Non-KrisFlyer members can check-in with the booking reference (or PNR). This option is applicable to both online and offline bookings.
- Flight Details
This option does not require a PNR. However, this option requires you to input flight number, departing city, date of departure and your ticket number or passport number. KF and non-KF members with either online or offline bookings can also use this option.

Who can use the Internet check-in?
Internet check-in and its functions are available to all SilkAir passengers with the exception of the following categories of passengers:
- Passengers under the age of 12 travelling alone (unaccompanied minors)
- Passengers under the age of 17 travelling with passenger(s) under the age of 17.
- Passengers who have requested for special or medical assistance.
- Passengers travelling in a group of 10 or more.

I am travelling with my child and have completed my online check in first. Why am I unable to check-in my child?
Child must be checked-in simultaneously with an adult. Please perform the check-in for your child at the airport. |

Why do I need to provide my family name & given name?
We use your name together with the booking identifier (ticket number, passport number, booking reference, and frequent flyer membership number) to locate your booking in our system.
If you choose to locate your booking under the flight details, Please note that you should use your passport number only if you have provided it when you made your reservation or online booking. |

Am I able to check in online if I have a single name in my passport?
No. Please check in at the airport. |

How many flights will I be able to check-in online?
You can choose to check-in on all flights in your booking that are open for check-in or only on the first flight open for check-in.
Should you have connecting flights on Singapore Airlines, we highly recommend that you check in prior to the departure of the first flight.
Please note that in order for your through check-in to be successful, your onward flight also be available for check-in between 2 and 48hours prior to flight departure. |

Why am I unable to log in?
You may not be able to log in for the following reason:
- You may have entered an incorrect KrisFlyer membership number and/or PIN. Kindly verify your login information, and try again.
- Our systems may be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance. Please forgive us for any inconvenience caused, and kindly try again later. Alternatively, you can check-in by using the alternate route for other users.

I have logged in to the member's area. Why are you unable to locate my bookings?
- If you are a PPS Club or KrisFlyer member and you supplied your KrisFlyer Membership Number when you made your booking through a travel agent, any Singapore Airlines Reservations Office, or the Singapore Airlines' website, you will see your bookings that can be checked in. Your bookings that cannot be checked in will not be displayed.
- If you did not supply your PPS Club or KrisFlyer Membership Number, or if your PPS Club or KrisFlyer Membership Number was not appended to your bookings when your booking was made, you will not be able to see your bookings even if they can be checked in.
- If you are a PPS Club or KrisFlyer member and do not see your bookings that you wish to check-in, please check-in using the alternate route of providing your bookings details for our system to retrieve your booking.

It is within 48 hours to flight departure. Why am I unable to check-in?
Occasionally, there are operational reasons preventing us from opening the flight for Internet check-in. This may mean you will be unable to check-in on the Internet temporarily. Please try again later, or check-in at the airport. |

Why am I prevented from performing online check-in?
You may be prevented from online check-in if:
- You are under the age of 17 and are travelling alone (unaccompanied minor)
- You are under the age of 17 and are travelling with other passenger(s)who are under the age of 17.
- You have indicated for special or medical assistance to be provided.
- You are travelling in a group of 10 or more.

Why am I unable to perform any check-in transaction?
The following are some likely reasons:
- You do not have a confirmed booking. Kindly verify that you have a confirmed booking.
- You do not have a ticketed booking. Kindly verify that you have ticketed your booking.
- In your reservation, you requested to travel as an unaccompanied minor or young person travelling without an adult, or you have indicated certain medical needs. Due to the special servicing you require, please proceed directly to the airport to complete your check-in procedures.
- Your travel party may be too large. Currently, Internet check-in is limited to travelling parties with a maximum size of nine. Please proceed directly to the airport to complete your check-in procedures.
- You may have entered the incorrect travel details (given or family names, ticket number, booking reference number, passport number or frequent flyer membership number). Please verify the details and try again.
- Occasionally, our flights may not be open for check-in due to operational reasons. Please forgive us for any inconvenience caused and kindly try again later.

I am above 12 years of age. Am I able to check-in?
If you are between 12 and 17 years of age, you can perform check-in online, provided you are not travelling alone, and that your travelling companion is not under 17 years of age.
If you are under the age of 17 and are travelling alone (unaccompanied minor), please check in at the airport. |

What is the age restriction on Internet check-in?
Internet check-in can be used for passengers over 2 years of age. However, passengers under 17 years of age need to be travelling with passenger(s) above the age of 17. |

What is Australia Advance Passenger Processing?
Australian immigration law requires all visitors who are not Australian citizens to have authority, in the form of a visa, to travel to and stay in Australia.
Under Australia's Advance Passenger Processing (APP) system, visa information is obtained from all intending overseas travellers (except New Zealand citizens) and is available at airports before passengers arrive.

For successful Australia Advance Passenger Processing clearance, please make sure:
- The name that you used when making a booking corresponds with your name in your passport
- You have a valid electronic visa from the Australian Government's Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs
- The regulatory APP check for entry into Australia is currently not available on SilkAir website. Therefore, you will not be able to through check-in on SilkAir website if you have Australian bound connecting flights on Singapore Airlines

Can I perform a through check-in via Internet check-in?
You can perform through check-in via internet provided that these conditions are met
- The preceding flight is operated or marketed by SilkAir
- Your onward flight is operated by SilkAir & is the flight is open for check-in
- Your onward flight is operated by Singapore Airlines & the onward flight is open for check-in

Can I use Internet check-in for codeshare flights?
SilkAir has different codeshare arrangements with various airlines. In some cases, SilkAir operates the codeshare flight and in other cases SilkAir markets the codeshare flights operated by another airline.
Do note that Internet check-in can be initiated for codeshare flights operated & marketed by SilkAir with our participating partner Singapore Airlines. |

Am I able to use Internet check-in for connecting flights operated by other airlines?
Currently, online through check-in arrangement exists between SilkAir and Singapore Airlines. It is possible to check in for connecting flights operated by Singapore Airlines provided that the preceding flight is operated & marketed by SilkAir. |

Am I able to check-in for my travelling companions?
You can check-in your travel companions included in the same booking record as yours. Internet check-in is limited to travel parties with a maximum size of nine. You can choose which companions you would like to check-in. Please note that to check-in for your travel companions, you will need to have their ticket and passport details ready to complete the check-in transaction. |
