Yangon’s National Museum allows a glimpse of the Lion Throne of King Thibaw, the last king of Myanmar. Later, take a leisurely stroll through People’s Park, stretching over 130 acres between Shwedagon Pagoda and Pyithu Hluttaw, or the Parliament. A museum houses life-sized models of the country’s nationalities, bedecked in colourful costumes. Then 45-minutes from the city is Hlawga Wildlife Park, home to over 70 herbivorous animals and 90 species of birds. Enjoy elephant rides, boating and fishing.
