At 3,726m, Mount Rinjani is Indonesia’s second highest peak. An award-winning project has worked hard to make it a world-class (though serious) trek. For sights minus sweat, drive to Senaru and walk to the waterfalls. Heading southwest, tour the craft villages noted for weaving, pottery, silver and woodcarving. Later visit Pura Lingsar, a shrine where Hindus and Muslims pray together.
